  garyneal,

  The funny thing is that maybe they are right about all those other churches. Its just that they need to include their own church. I just clicked on your IFB link and it really struck me, same thing different church. I just keep seeing it over and over.

  It's so sad to me that churches are turning people away from God by making their followers disillusioned by their judgemental behaviour and lies.

  Maybe I do. I'm not sure. Are you refering to one lot of christians proclaiming that another lot do not have Gods favour?

  It really is a sweeping statement isn't it? I think you can say as a collective of ideas that you don't think it is correct. But no one can say that of any individual because we don't know anothers heart.

  hi garyneal, I think I see what you are saying. But I think you are both correct. Works do not justify us to God. If what is in our hearts is not true, and God knows what is in our hearts. No amount of works will save us. These are works that are just for show and get approval from people.

  Confessing Christ as our saviour is enough I think. And if we truly believe and want to please God we will show this through our behaviour and by trying our best to imitate Jesus example. We are not perfect so will not always get it right. But as I said, God knows what is in our hearts. And at the same time others will see more clearly what we believe by our actions without us saying anything.

  I quite like the old saying "actions speak louder than words", by doing this we benefit by having happier, more fulfilling lives and also please God. As Jesus said when you do these things you do them to me.

  I think we do enough when we try to love one another.

  The Writing Department's use of "Exclamation Points". Anybody else find their use cheesy? Or motivating possibly?

  something i've been meaning to ask for a while since coming here, is wsup with the writing department's use of exclamation points?

  i'm no literature buff or anything, but to me personally, the exclamation points cheapen whatever they're trying to get across.

  here's some examples from the new jeremiah book.. how thankful we can be for the teaching done by christian shepherds!.

  wow watersprout! all those exclamation marks gave me vertigo! I think I may be seeing light at the end of the tunnel. It might be a new light! or....maybe its just the words at the end of your exclamation marks in the distance. where are my glasses?

  That cat one is brilliant. The spelling thing stood out (even to me and I'm not the best speller). But the rest of it was so well done I reakon if you handed it out at a kingdom hall and told them all it was new light everyone would be getting rid of their cats asap. (please don't do that, I wouldn't want to see any cats harmed in the making of that article)
